Recap

The episode begins with Audrina talking to Lauren about how she hung out with Cory the Australian all weekend (an old flame). She hasn’t yet told Justin about him and feels slightly guilty about it. Lauren suggests that maybe Justin will miss Audrina if he thinks he is going to lose her.

Spencer meets up with Stephanie to complain about Heidi’s mom and sister, who don’t seem to like him. He fills her in on how Holly was responsible for Heidi sending Lauren a letter. Spencer says he is done dealing with Heidi’s family. Stephanie tells him to talk to Heidi about it.

Later at work, Lauren invites Whitney to Malibu with her, Audrina and Cory. Lauren admits that she likes Cory better than Justin. Meanwhile, Audrina and Cory meet up at a restaurant and talk about how long he will be in town. Audrina lies to him about her relationship with Justin and says they are only friends. She invites him to the Malibu party. The next morning at the house, Lauren and Audrina invite Cory to Mexico with them.

Meanwhile at Spencer and Heidi’s house, things heat up. Spencer tells Heidi that he wants her sister to move out. Heidi objects, then Spencer gives her an ultimatum and tells her that it’s either him or Holly.

The girls and guys go to Malibu to hang out, and while Audrina is frolicking in the pool with Cory, the guys inform Lauren that Justin might be coming over. Then the guys tell Audrina that they invited Justin to Mexico with them. Audrina is left with a dilemma since now both him and Cory are supposed to go.

Heidi breaks the news to Holly that it’s time they find her somewhere else to live.

Back at the girls’ house, Justin comes over to hang out with Audrina. They play around together and drink wine and Audrina finds out that Justin will be going to Mexico, but that he plans to “get in trouble” while he is there.

OK, what is up with the incredibly weak women on this show? Why do they constantly let these awful guys just run all over them? In particular, Heidi and Audrina. I seriously am losing respect for Audrina, and as for Heidi, well, my opinion of her couldn’t get any lower at this point!

This was a great episode, however… it’s hilarious that Heidi is trying to get Lauren back as a friend and Lauren is refusing because of Spencer. Maybe one day Heidi will come to her senses and dump Spencer. Also, Audrina needs to just dump Justin already. Clearly he could care less about her! Of all the guys any of the girls on the show dated, I like Colin the best… if Audrina doesn’t see what a hot and amazing guy he is, she deserves Justin.

I really like Holly right now because of the entire group, she is the one being the most adult and trying to think about everyone’s feeling involved.

Recap

Holly tells Heidi that she plans to meet up with Lauren, and Heidi admits that it’s been hard to lose Lauren. She expresses sadness over the fact that she lost her friendship. Audrina goes on a date with a new guy Colin. Things go really well – there is obvious chemistry, and Colin asks her out for another date for the next night.

Meanwhile Lauren and Lo meet up with Holly. Holly talks about how things have been difficult between her and Heidi since Spencer came into the picture. Then she mentions how Heidi misses Lauren’s friendship. Lauren replies that it’s “water under the bridge” and things have happened and that it’s over. Heidi sends Lauren an apologetic and genuine-sounded letter, and Lauren shows it to Whitney the next day at work. They discuss it. Lauren mentions (rightly) that Heidi just can’t seem to blame Spencer, that she is still just too loyal to him.

Audrina meets up with Colin again and he tells her again how much he likes her. Audrina tells him the truth, that she is Justin’s girlfriend and it’s holding her back. Holly visits Lauren and they talk about Heidi’s letter. Lauren reveals that she doesn’t have a problem with Heidi – and that she’s already forgiven her – but she can’t go back to being her friend because of Spencer. Lauren and Audrina think about what would have happened with all of them if Spencer had never come into the picture.

Audrina goes out with Justin and tells him that she has gone out on a date with another guy. Not only does he not seem to care, but he asks her indirectly if she’d mind if he went out on dates with other girls.

The last scene of the episode takes place between Heidi and Holly. Holly is trying gently to break the news to Heidi that Lauren doesn’t want anything to do with Heidi if Spencer is in the picture. Then Spencer himself comes into the kitchen and gets angry when he finds out that Heidi sent Lauren a letter. He also congratulates himself on keeping Heidi and Lauren apart.

After watching tonight’s episode, entitled Don’t Act Innocent, it occurred to me that Spencer Pratt has now caused at one point or another almost every female cast member on The Hills cry, whether directly or indirectly. For instance… Lauren cried over over losing Heidi, all because of Spencer. Holly – Heidi’s sister – cried in a somewhat recent episode when Spencer was mean to her. Spencer was also mean to his own sister Stephanie and made her cry. In a previous season Spencer has made Heidi herself cry. And tonight? He was the indirect result of Heidi’s own mother crying!

Wow. Spencer has really outdone himself.

Anyway, it looks like people won’t be trusting Stephanie anymore…

Recap:

Don’t Act Innocent began with Lauren telling Whitney about how Stephanie had gone out with Doug. Meanwhile back at the Pratt/Montag abode, Heidi’s mother shows up. She is disappointed that Heidi didn’t tell her that she was back living with Spencer again. Heidi’s mother offers to take Spencer out to lunch the next day.

Stephanie and Lauren meet up and Stephanie basically insinuates that it was Doug’s idea that they go out. She claims that she has deleted his number from her cell phone. Doug meanwhile meets up with Brody and shows Brody all of Stephanie’s text messages, some of which were sent late at night telling him to come over and “watch movies”.

Things come to a head when Lauren, Stephanie and Brody all show up to Doug’s party. Brody confronts Stephanie and says he knows she is lying, that she WAS trying to hook up with Lauren’s ex. Stephanie goes to hide and cry in the house. Lauren comes to talk to her and just kind of shakes her head when Stephanie tries to apologize. Clearly the jig is up, Stephanie…

Episode Recap:

The episode starts off in Heidi and Spencer’s apartment. Heidi’s sister Holly is telling her about how she wishes she could go out and meet more people in the area. She mentions that she only knows Heidi and Lauren (purposely leaving Spencer out). This apparently gets Spencer riled up a bit and he says that there will be no “fraternization” with Lauren while Holly lives under their roof. Heidi as usual just stands there and lets Spencer be the jerk that he usually is on the show.

Meanwhile, Lauren and Whitney are at work discussing how Lauren’s friendship with Audrina has gotten a lot better since they had a showdown. Then Holly texts Lauren. Lauren is a little reluctant to meet up with Holly because of the Heidi thing, plus she doesn’t want to cause more problems.

Audrina gets called into publicist Kristin Loretta’s office over at Epic Records. Kristin says she needs Audrina to help her – be her “right hand” for the White Tie Affair, who is performing in LA for the first time.

Holly and Lauren meet up for lunch and catch up a bit. Lauren mentions that she is a little worried because she doesn’t want to cause trouble. Holly is just so glad to catch up with Lauren and she says it is OK.

Audrina and Justin meet up and they talk about Audrina’s friendships with Lauren and Lo and how they are improving.

Audrina invites Lauren to the White Tie Affair showcase and after-party. The night of the event dawns and Audrina meets the band. They are surprisingly good which Lauren mentions to Audrina. Justin – who has been so supportive to Audrina lately – doesn’t show up and Audrina wonders where he is.

Back at Speidi’s apartment, Heidi comes home and asks Holly what she has been up to all day. Holly says she was just out and about looking for jobs, etc. Then she mentions that she met up with Lauren at a bistro type place the day before. Heidi isn’t too happy about it but Holly mentions that she thinks Lauren misses Heidi.

Back at the band showcase, Stephanie seems to hit it off with one of the band members. Lo asks Audrina if Justin is coming. Audrina replies that she doesn’t know what he is doing.

The next morning Audrina tells her friend/coworker Chiara about how the night went, and how Justin never showed up. At FIDM, Lauren tells Stephanie about how she met up with Holly. Heidi talks to a coworker about how she misses Lauren. Lauren tells Stephanie that meeting up wtih Holly makes her miss Stephanie.

Episode Review:

This was a pretty good episode… it made us wonder if Heidi and Lauren will become friends again someday. But wouldn’t that involve Heidi dumping Spencer? He would never allow them to be friends. I also thought that Lo asking Audrina if Justin was coming to the showcase was kind of catty. It was clear that Justin has stood Audrina up… did Lo really need to bring attention to that fact?

Spencer was his usual excessively rude and sarcastic self… either the whole thing is an act or he really needs serious help. Heidi acts way too much like a doormat and needs to dump Spencer.

I thought it was hilarious that Holly met up with Lauren despite Spencer’s warnings to her. Clearly nobody really cares about what Spencer says.

I can’t wait to see how the Lauren and Holly friendship thing plays out… will she bring Heidi and Lauren back together, or will it be another disaster? And will Audrina dump Justin once and for all?

RECAP:

The drama never stops… It’s Stephanie’s birthday party and of course she has invited her new good friend Lauren, who plans to bring her new guy and Audrina and Lo. Lauren asks Stephanie in class if she has invited Spencer and Heidi, and Stephanie says she doesn’t know since she hasn’t spoken to them in a while.

Lauren goes to lunch with Doug and confesses to him that things are strained between Lo and Audrina. She invites Doug to go to Stephanie’s party.

Audrina talks to her coworker Chiara about how Lo came to her room on her birthday to apologize for not being around.

Meanwhile Whitney is finding her new boss is quite demanding.

Heidi and Spencer are out to dinner and Spencer gets a text message from Stephanie asking if they are coming to her birthday party. Heidi and Spencer discuss Steph’s loyalty since she is hanging out with Lauren these days.

The night of the party dawns, and Lo and Lauren get ready together while they discuss Lauren’s trust Stephanie is legitimate. Kelly Cutrone meets up with Whitney and the other girls in the company and acts totally rude, telling them they have to do it her way because, as she says, “It’s my company.” (She utters that phrase at least 2 or 3 times).

Lo shows her somewhat bitchy side on the ride over to Boulevard 3 with Lauren and mentions that “the ones who matter are getting along” in reference to Audrina. Apparently Audrina doesn’t matter to her!

At the party, Lo snubs Audrina once more. Audrina takes off.

Heidi and Spencer show up unexpectedly at the party. Brody takes off, saying he doesn’t want any drama. Lauren soon follows when she overhears Spencer saying “get these obnoxious chicks away” to Stephanie.

Stephanie goes to visit Spencer and he tells her that he’s had it with her being friends with Lauren. He acts like his typical overly obnoxious rude self and reduces Stephanie to tears.

Kelly Cutrone drops the bomb to Whitney that she is to take Jessica’s old place at the office.

Stephanie basically lies to Lauren later on in class and says she didn’t know they were coming. It looks like Lauren is starting to question her trust in Stephanie…

REVIEW:

This was a good episode… I started to really dislike Lo’s character because of how she is treating Audrina. She is clearly either very bitchy or just feels threatened by Audrina’s friendship with Lauren. Spencer meanwhile came across as his usual horrible self. I was so angry over the way he treated his sister. I mean, after all, it was HIS entire fault for the whole Lauren fight in the first place! I wish Heidi would wake the heck up.

I’m eager to find out what happens down the line with Lauren and Stephanie’s friendship… will Stephanie turn on her?

Whitney’s story line is moving right along, although I personally cannot stand her boss Kelly. There is no reason for her to be so rude and demanding, whether she owns her company or not (IMHO).

Last but not least, I wonder why Lauren doesn’t seem to care much that Lo and Audrina aren’t getting along…
